Zombie Walk and French Flea Market – Upcoming Events!

posted by  banzaitokyo | 7 years, 10 months ago

? Have you heard of the Zombie Walk? Those organized public events are gatherings of Zombie Fans, dressing up as their favorite undead monsters walking through an urban area. Those walks can be organized simply for entertainment or with a purpose such as setting a world record. Originated in North America, now you can join Zombie Walks all over the world. Also in Japan, Tokyo.

Fans of “The Walking Dead” and “28 days later” can enjoy this special event on Saturday, 16th in Tokyo, Yoyogi-Park. Japan’s zombie enthusiasts will be gathering again for the Zombie Walk and you can join them as long as you bring your rotten corpse and your thirst for the living.

You want to join but you don’t know how to “Zombie up”? No problem!

Shinjuku and Shibuya Tokyu Hands offer ZOMBIENA, a Zombie Make up set for 2,500 Yen with all the things you need to become a bloody undead monster! If you need a Zombie-Outfit, check different shops like LOFT or Don Quijote. An overview of costume-selling stores can be found here.

If you are thirsty after the long walk or you feel like hanging out with your new undead friends, proceed to Roppongi, to a special Zombie bar. Night Gallery Cafe CROW offers you horror cocktails and other bizarre food for an entrance fee of 2,000 Yen.

As long as you dress up, anybody is welcome to join the gory mob at Yoyogi park.

Keep in mind some simple rules: don’t attack humans, don’t run, take home your trash and enjoy your day peacefully with your Zombie comrades. The event will happen, even it rains. And if you are a Zombie, who don’t likes cameras – better stay at home. There will be many people loving to take a picture with your gory self..

This sounds like so much fun! I am a huge Walking Dead fan and I must make it to this even at least once. I love how into it everyone gets. Those zombie kits are adorable too!
