So it's confirmed: Akihabara is still known as Akiba, as a sort of a nickname. I've been researching some stuff related to the Akihabara area and I saw that once it was called Akiba, but I wasn't entirely sure whether it was still used today.
I never thought there would be a store only for anime girl figures...
