People from all around the world seek asylum in Japan, but just 28 were accepted in 2016.

I never knew that they intended on taking them in and sending them back to rebuild Syria. I think other places need to cut back on refugees while others accept more but Japan is one place that I honestly feel doesn't have the room for taking on more.

A whole lot of people are abusing the refugee visa system, making it very hard to use for those who actually need it. There are even agencies in some countries who send people to Japan to apply for refugee visa, at a charge of around USD 10,000.
