Every Takashi Murakami unveiling of new work feels like a major event.
On October 16th, Murakami will open Baka, his 14th solo show with Perrotin Gallery and this one at the gallery's homebase of Paris.
It's his first solo in Paris in three years.
The new showcase will feature a large presentation of Murakami's iconic Mr DOB character, as well works inspired by flowers and his continual exploration of traditional Japanese painting.
Baka will also see the unveiling of Devil Ko2 , "the latest in his succession of hyper-sexualized, life-sized manga sculptures which includes Miss Ko2 (1997), Hiropon (1997), My Lonesome Cowboy (1998) and Nurse Ko2 (2011)."
