Japan to let elderly off quarantined cruise ship soon: source

KYODO NEWS - 2 hours ago - 01:55 | All, JapanThe Japanese government is planning to allow the elderly and passengers with chronic illnesses to disembark a cruise ship quarantined in Yokohama over coronavirus infection fears soon, a source familiar with the matter said Tuesday.
The government has asked about 3,600 passengers and crew members to stay on board during the two-week isolation period through on Feb. 19 in an effort to contain the spread of the pneumonia-causing disease in the country.
The elderly passengers and those with chronic health problems may leave the cruise ship as early as Tuesday morning, the source said.
