Boredom, anxiety and the Oscars: Life on the quarantined coronavirus cruise ship

Many of those being detained say they have experienced long periods of boredom mixed with anxiety as they are held.
Some cruise ship passengers savoured lavish meals; others watched movies or pored over Oscar ballots, held rapt by the live Academy Awards broadcast.
The lucky few whose turn it was to get fresh air paced the decks, revelling in a glimpse of blue sky.
