Kansai Airport Artificial Island - Construction Timelapse

I always thought is was strange to have an airport like this stationed out at sea but it just works so well. Artificial islands are being build all over the world as we continue to expand the global population. I would much rather they did this then cut down more forests and take away from the mammals of the land.
