In Japan, "Meat Cakes" Are A Thing

I thought this was a joke when my friend told me about it. She is in Japan right now studying and one of her friends had a meat cake given to him for his birthday! Well, it was more of a cupcake but still! I think they are gross and yet some how cute and creative.
