Expect to pay 10,000 yen for most events in Tokyo Olympics

In its initial application to host the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020, the Japanese organizing committee stated it would issue approximately 10.10 million tickets: 7.8 million for the Olympics themselves and 2.3 million for the Paralympics.

Average ticket prices at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games will likely be 10,000 yen ($87), except for the most popular events such as baseball, where the best seats could go for 15 times as much.
