Is this a trend to transform Combinis into gyms?

Here is an example of ex-Combini shop transformed into a fitness gym. I hear it is a trend now, but I haven't seen any of them personally? If it is happening, why?

Haven't seen it anywhere I lived, but I can imagine that happening in small towns where younger people tend to move to. Supermarkets have been opening late, so convenience stores have less business now. Gyms, on the other hand, seem to be getting popular. I have seen a couple of new ones around where I live.
