You can climb Mt. Fuji only in summer, within a span of around two months. This year's season just started.

That is actually a good idea to limit the climbers per day. So much of our wilderness has been destroyed thanks to us. I would imagine that having too many people on Mt. Fuji would result in a disruption of natural patterns for the animals.
