Carp streamers featuring printed denim patterns are flying in Kurashiki City, the denim capital of Japan.
The streamers were made by a blue jeans company and a carp streamer maker in Okayama Prefecture, western Japan.
4 streamers, measuring from 1.5 meters to 4 meters long, were raised at the blue jeans company on Tuesday with the help of local children.
The streamers are made of polyester with printed denim patterns. The carps' scales are printed in dotted lines, evoking the stitching in blue jeans.
