In the Anime with the English name “Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon”, the heroine wears a ribbon under her breasts to raise them and boost her cleavage. Selfies of girls wearing the ribbon (most of them without the face) have been going viral on social media.

This is not the first time manga started a trend in the way girls dress. Short skirts of high-school girls, too, originated in manga.

Interesting. I never though that school uniform styles were inspired by manga, rather the contrary. How can you say what actually came first?

Not the uniform style, just the shortening of the skirt. The skirts are actually long, up to knee-level. They just wrap it around the waist after leaving home, to make them look shorter :o).
