Japan is by far the world leader in one of the most important tech revolutions in the coming decade, the robotics revolution.

Agricultural and food processing robots in Japan are everywhere, and they work great! Even the simple machines for fruit sorting are amazing. Recently I saw a robot that packs eda-mame, a type of snack-beans. Was really fast and precise to the gram.

Yes they are pretty fascinating. That is one thing I have yet to see happen out west. I would love to see more robots taking part in daily tasks, specially with food and agriculture. I know a lot of people worry about jobs but someone will need to be there to maintain these bots. There will always be work to do!

It is happening, it is just not wide spread. Places to look are more advanced city areas that focus on the environment as well such as California. And yes I agree, there will always be jobs but there will be less available.
