Parts of a landmark building severely damaged by the atomic bombing of Hiroshima in 1945 have been recovered from a nearby river.
An employee of Hiroshima University, Rebun Kayo, has been salvaging parts of the building, known as the Atomic Bomb Dome, for the last 15 years.
A crane lifted 3 large building stones from the Motoyasu River on Tuesday. The stones were found in surveys made last year.
