Last month, legislators in Japan passed a law that legalizes casino gambling in the country. It ended 15 years of political back-and-forth and paves the way for the eventual development of integrated resorts, which could add an additional $10 billion to national coffers, or 0.2% of GDP according to the Daiwa Research Institute.

My problem with Pachinko parlors is that most of them are run by Yakuza, the Japanese mafia. The police would want to screen owners of any newly opened gambling resorts, to keep that business clean. If you are a foreigner, I would advise you to keep away from the pachinko parlors. There have been cases where innocent people have been arrested mistakenly, based on unclear camera footage, for crimes in and around these places.

I actually heard the same thing. I honestly did not believe it was true but now I am not so sure. I won't be going around that casino. I am not a big gambler anyways. I know a buddy of mine went here last year and had no issues but he didn't get to stay very long. I think they kicked him out because of suspicion. He took too many pictures is my guess.
