Japanese red wine wins IWC trophy www3.nhk.or.jp

A red wine made entirely from grapes grown in Japan has won a trophy at the prestigious International Wine Challenge in London.

The 2013 Tomi Red, produced by Suntory Wine International, was among this year's winners of the IWC awards announced on Wednesday.

The wine from the Tomi No Oka Winery in Kai City, Yamanashi Prefecture, features a rich bouquet and mild taste. It won in the category of Japanese red.
