Kanagawa residents to get test runs with driverless taxis - AJW by The Asahi Shimbun

Tokyo-based Robot Taxi Inc. and the Cabinet Office will start a demonstration test of driverless cabs as early as January in Kanagawa Prefecture. In the test in a designated National Strategic Special Zone, around 50 residents of Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture, will travel on about 3 kilometers of main roads between their homes and a supermarket in two autonomous taxis summoned via smartphone.
