This recent article shows that child poverty continues to be a major problem in Japan. Why do you think is the government not taking this problem seriously?
When asked about increasing disparity in a Diet session, prime minster Abe answered "this will go away as Abenomics brings in economic growth and the benefits spread to the general public. So, I guess child poverty gets the same response.
It's just "trickle down economics" where those with low income have to just wait. So, do help volunteers where you can and hope the kids have better food and education!
