Anti-whaling group Sea Shepherd has announced it will not send ships to the Antarctic Ocean this year to intercept Japanese whaling operations.

The group issued a statement on its website on Monday explaining that Japan is now using "military surveillance" to watch Sea Shepherd ship movements in real time by satellite. The group said that if their ship location is known at any given moment, it can be easily avoided, so they can no longer match Japan's "military grade technology."

Good decision by them, they were basically putting big performances and putting other people's lives at risk. If they were to continue this year, I would start a counter organization named "Kitchen Shepherds" to protect cockroaches from being killed :-p
