Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan leader Yukio Edano expressed his desire to rally opposition parties in the wake of Sunday’s House of Representatives election, which saw his party become the dominant opposition party.

“We can work together with those who can cooperate with our ideals and policies,” Edano said late Sunday night at a press conference.
