Thirteen men and women, who were unable to leave a mountain trail in western Tokyo due to heavy snow, have been found after an overnight search.

All 13 are said to be conscious, and rescue efforts are underway. Rescuers say 3 of the people cannot walk. The others can walk, but need help. Authorities say 6 of the climbers left the trail and were taken to a hospital. Police and firefighters are trying to confirm reports that foreigners are among the 13.
