This week on Dezeen, installations by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and British architect and designer Sam Jacobs opened at the V&A museum as part of the London Design Festival.
As part of London Design Festival the V&A played host to a number of installations including a bamboo and carbon-fibre structure called Bamboo Ring designed by Kengo Kuma.
The architect hopes that the material will be used to create earthquake-proof buildings.
Called Sea Things, Sam Jacobs's installation looks to a future where there is more plastic in the ocean than there are fish.
The announcements followed the Dezeen Awards shortlist party that saw Mamou-Mani join architects, designers and revellers at the Delta Light showroom.
