Japan progresses on hydrogen neighbourhoodA hydrogen powered residential compound consisting of 5,632 privately-owned/rental flats, nursing homes, a day-care centre and other facilities is being built in Harumi, Japan.
The neighbourhood is made up of five zones and will feature a full-scale hydrogen infrastructure system, the first of its kind in Japan.
The company will supply hydrogen BRT transportation system and local bus service fuel cell vehicle fleet, both of which will connect urban and bay areas.
The company will also own the hydrogen fuel cell generators which will be installed in the residential blocks.
Panasonic will be responsible for the supply of hydrogen fuel cell generators to each residential block.
