For the second year in a row, Japan is ranked on top of the Henley & Partners Passport Index.
This privilege is shared by Singaporeans, who share first place with Japan in the passport ranking, published by the British citizenship consultancy firm.

This mirrors the modest growth in overseas travel for Japanese tourists since 2015.
A recent UN World Tourism Organization report shows that international tourism to the country increased by 250% between 2012 and 2017.
