Installation view at Wulong Lanba Art Festival, ChinaBorn in Tokyo in 1981, the artist Yusuke Asai (previously) continues to travel the world, creating wild and unrestrained art with whatever canvas and materials are available to him locally: soil, water, dust, flour, tape, and pens.

As a tribute to the deer, he collected some of the wild animal’s blood and incorporated it into his paintings as a new material.
For the first time in 4 years Yusuke Asai will be having a solo exhibition, taking place in Tokyo at the art gallery Anomaly.
