Anime Japan is a Japanese anime convention which was created from the merge of The Tokyo International Anime Fair and the Anime contents Expo in 2014.
It is organized by the Anime Japan Executive Committee with support of The Association of Japanese Animations and The Association of Manga Publishers.
It is one of the largest anime related events in the world and attended by several hundred Japanese and foreign TV and film production companies.
You can also find toy, game and software developers at this convention.
This event is a must for Anime- and Manga-Fans and easy accessible for foreigners. The official website of the convention is all in English.
What can you find at the convention?
A majority of the floor space is devoted to the exhibition space of big companies like Toei Animations, Bandai Namco or Tezuka Productions. Larger exhibition booths feature their own stage and they host live shows and special appearances by Anime and Manga creators or voice actors.
At the convention center you can also find various other attractions such as concerts, interviews, theater stages and many more. Official goods will be sold at different shops. You can get an overview of the sold products at the goods website.
A highlight is the Cosplay zone, which is equipped with changing rooms a photography space and a cloakroom. Rental costumes are also available, if you dont want to bring your own.

This years Anime Japan will be held on the 21st of March until the 22nd at Tokyo Bigh Sight, in Odaiba.

Because of limited parking space, we recommend you to go to Odaiba by public transport. You can take the Rinkai Line ( Approx. 7 min. walk from Kokusai-Tenjijo Station) or the Yurikamome (Approx. 3 minutes walk from Kokusai-Tenjijo-Seimon Station). What are the Red Stage, Green Stage and Blue Stage?
The red stage (capacity 2,000), green stage (capacity 1,000) and the blue stage (capacity 500) are viewing stages. Special announcements for anime works, talk events, song concerts and other anime related events will be held on those stages. If you want to get a ticket for those stages you need to apply in advance. Tickets will be distributed in a lottery system. Ordinary tickets are on sale since the 24th January until the 15th February. Stage tickets are additional features you can purchase once you have bought the ordinary tickets.
A One-Day ticket costs 1.600 Yen. Students, who are younger than elementary school students can enter the site for free.
