A cat cafe is a god place to have a break if you are a cat lover
Rent prices in central Tokyo are so high that the vast majority of people dont have space to own a cat (let alone swing one) and even those that do are often forbidden by building regulations from owning pets. Cat cafes give people a chance to play with a few little furry friends for a while and, with over 40 established in Tokyo alone, theyve discovered a huge niche.
"with over 40 established in Tokyo alone, they've discovered a huge niche" - now that's true! I've seen a lot of reports on this subject, as well as informal posts of superstars (Katy Perry has been in a cat café, haha) visiting them. I'm not a particular fan of cats but I'd love to see a dog café... although that would be a bit of a mess, haha ;)
