I too rate it as number one. Rice cooker was one of the "top 3 appliances people wanted", together with refrigerator and TV, when Japan's economy started growing 50 years ago. Right now it is also a favourite item among tourists from Asia.

Rice cooker is definitely number one! And even though rice makers produced in other countries are available here in France I must say that Japanese rice cookers are superior in quality.
