Are big watches the latest trend in Akiba?

I have seen many tourists, particularly fro East Asia, buy huge watches like this one:

But I am not sure if I see as many locals wearing big watches. What is trending among the young locals?

this looks crazy, but somehow makes me want a double watch like that :)
