Anybody who want to try this?

Soon, there will be a driverless mini bus that runs on public space in Japan.

I really want to try this one, but I don't dare to go with the kids :). I don't think its sensors can handle them.

Just kidding, this might be useful in some countries to get rid of stray cats :-p

Yeah, I am all for it. If you see how some people drive you will realize that robots must be much safer drivers :) so I wouldn't have any hesitation. I expect that the Japanese authorities have made all the necessary tests to assure the safety of the vehicle.

After the revolving door of the Roppongi Hills building killed a child, many Japanese people have suspicions about how safe automatic stuff are for kids. Most adults will be happy to try this, so am I.

It happened around ten years ago, but it haunts me since I work a lot with kids. sensors for these gadgets have improved a lot since then. The regulatory bodies, too, are very strict on safety checks and warning signs. I hope such a thing will never happen again.
