Have you heard the song "Sukiyaki"?

This song was famous in the old days, and is still sung in many community events. I heard that it was also in the US song charts for some time.

The writer of the song passed away a few days back.

I watch NHK World from time to time and I have heard the news, but I haven't heard the song yet. I will look it up on youtube.

I know Kyu Sakamoto sings this song Sukiyaki in Japan but I don't know who sings this song in USA... I like Sukiyaki :)
