Hajimemashite!

The staff support executive at my first workplace here wrote an email with this word, introducing herself. I learnt a few more words before coming here.

I cannot say that I speak Japanese, but I know a few words. And there is no doubt the very first one that I had to learn was Arigato - it is very important to be very polite everywhere in the world, but in Japan especially.
