What do SMAP fans think of the group's disbanding at the end of the year?

The pop group SMAP announced that they will be disbanding on the new year's eve.

I liked some of their songs, although now they are way past the peak.

My wife (she's Japanese) wouldn't be a diehard fan of the bad, but she somewhat likes them. She knew about this before I asked her what she thinks about their break up. She was only a little bit sad and she finds it natural that band members want to try different things in life.
