Teaching English is the primary part-time job for foreigners in Japan. Let's share our experiences if this discussion to help others who want to try it.

Some advise from my personal experience: 1. Do try to attend international volunteer groups since people there are more likely to introduce you to those who want lessons. 2. Do not join places that have very low rates. Your will not get enough to survive, and also will have no time to find a place with better rates. 3.Try to teach individuals instead of classes. 4. Be up-to-date with recent topics. When you make good conversation, your students will recommend you to others. 5. Last but not least, do care for the students and do your best. Hard work is rewarded in more than one way.
