Travelling to Tokyo can be a daunting experience. For one, there are so many places to visit, it is difficult to know where to start.

But what if you have been there so many times that you long for new places to visit? As a seasoned Tokyo visitor who has been there seven times over the last four years, I found myself seeking out new (and Instagram-worthy) places close to Tokyo.

I have actually been to Enoshima Island and while it is not everyone's cup of tea, I absolutely loved seeing all the cats doing their own thing walking around. All these places are beautiful treasures for different reasons that often get overlooked by visitors.
