Tokyo is a million cities … and it’s full of secrets www.theguardian.com

Tokyo has magnetism, and it feels endless. What hits you first is the scale. There’s the neon signs, the ancient temples, the skyscraper skylines, all of it mixed together. In the metro area there are more than 35 million people; that’s like taking two-thirds of England and putting it into one city – and then expecting the trains to run on time and the traffic to flow.

This article describes only the tourist places and it still shows a lot of variety. Now can also wander off at a random station, and discover great places. I enjoy doing that nowadays.

I love how this touches on a lot of great areas but still allows and encourages your own travel and exploration of this beautiful place. I have to agree that there is a spirit and a connection for anyone who was born in Tokyo that you have for life.
