Singapore tops the ranks in Asia as the city with the best quality of living, well ahead of Tokyo and Hong Kong because of its efficient infrastructure.

The city-state gained one spot from last year and came in at No. 25 on a global ranking of 231 cities by consulting firm, Mercer, a unit of Marsh & McLennan Cos. In Asia, Tokyo was at 47 and Hong Kong at 71, with both declining slightly in the index.

In terms of infrastructure, it may be. In terms of actual quality of living, it depends on your ethnic group and origin :-p. If you are dark-skinned, Singapore is like hell because you are discriminated by the ethnic majority of Singaporeans. Foreigners from developing countries are called "foreign trash" by Singapore locals. Trump is very kind when you compare him to Singaporeans.

Spot on! This is the truth. Like if you are native and have a decent income, sure it is great but if you are among one of many outsiders or don't have a financially stable life, then you get looked down on. The Trump comment may even be true as well... which is scary when you think about it!!
