¥75 Billion Renovation Starts at Tokyo Disneyland www.nippon.com

The renovation, covering a total area of some 47,000 square meters, will be one of the largest for Tokyo Disneyland since it opened in 1983 in the city of Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo.

At the theme park, a go-kart-type attraction and some other facilities have been or will be closed, while new facilities, including a large-scale attraction and a restaurant featuring the Walt Disney Co. film Beauty and the Beast, will be constructed for opening in spring 2020.
