Japan’s biggest toy trade show, the International Tokyo Toy Show, was held at Big Sight, Tokyo, on June 1–4. The show was open to the public on the last two days, with a total of more than 160,000 expected to attend the event over the full four days. Here we introduce some of the top playthings from the 126 Japanese and 27 foreign companies that took part.

I am one of those adults who still buys toys so I am excited for these! I love the Woomos. I know over here they are called Hatchimals but my friend happened to get her hands on one after months of hunting and we had so much fun with it. I want to get one myself. I am glad to see more appeal to Japanese toys coming to America. Move over China!

I buy toys as well but I mainly collect them. Almost all of the items I buy, I do not open. It drives my brother's children mad to see all the toys in their boxes. I agree as well, it is nice to see their toys reaching a broader audience.
