Pokemon GO players in Japan spend the most money per user on the game by a wide margin. App analytics firm Sensor Tower reports a $26 per download figure in Japan. The next-closest country is the United States, where Pokemon GO makes $7.70 for each download of the game.

The game is now being played by middle-aged users, and also young players who are hell-bent at collecting as many of them as possible. Both groups are more willing to spend money. Given that Japanese users have historically been the top spenders on app stores, this is not surprising.
