Organizers of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics have begun accepting design entries for the Games' mascots.

Acceptance of the Internet-only applications began at noon on Tuesday. About 200 people, most of them children, gathered at an elementary school in Tokyo for a commemorative event.
