There are various instant curry in Japan. Did you already try them ? If so what curry was it ? I eat Jawa curry every time. I like it very much.
I am not huge fan of curry, so naturally I haven't tried instant curry in Japan. To be honest I didn't know it existed. But I am not surprised, I have seen and tried many things in Japan from traditional instant ramen to udon and yakisoba. I must say that even though similar instant meals exist in other countries, in Japan the variety is higher and the quality too.
I have tried quite a few types of them. The first time it dd not feel much like curry, because I am more used to the South Asian curries (thinner but spicier). But now, I have tried quite a few and like it. Cooking instant curry saves quite a bit of time, and in summer we can add home-grown vegetables to it. My favorite are Kokumaru and Vermont. I am yet to try Jawa, but will do some time.
