Construction sites in Japan are enjoying a wave of automation amid an increasing shortage of laborers, with the introduction of robots to do heavy lifting and drones that instantly collect aerial data.

As the industry ages along with the country’s graying society, construction companies are forced to look for ways to boost productivity and efficiency.

This is a really good trend; construction sector does not have enough people, and this sometimes results in overtime work. I hope the robots can save valuable time so that the work gets done without tiring the workers too much.

Something I noticed was a trend in working themselves to death over there. I think that in some cases, it is best to just allow robots/drones or some kind of machinery help get the job done if it means keeping workers healthy.
