I would really like to know what's the story and tradition behind the cosplay at the Kyoto University Graduation Ceremony. Unfortunately I don't read Japanese so my imagination is running wild when I am looking at these photos :)

I love that this has become a cosplay event. I know a lot of other Universities around the world would look down on this... But why!? These students worked their butts off and deserve to celebrate it! I will have to read up on this. I knew of it but I don't really know the history.
